Hernia is a disease that is found in very common in middle age and aged women and men. It is a condition in which an internal organ in your body gets protrudes outward. Hernia can be of different types which differ in the parts they are affected. Inguinal, femoral, umbilical or other hernias. When our stomach muscles get weak, some portions of the intestine swell up by pushing the weak stomach muscle. Hernia is caused due to heavy and long lasting coughing, lifting heavy objects, accumulation of fluid in the abdominal cavity and constipation.

In the beginning stage, it looks like small lumps under the skin. It can only be seen in the standing position only and it is painless. In this stage it is 90 percentages curable. But when it grows, the only solution is, surgery.

Ayurvedic diet plan

  • Decrease the quantity of meals taken and increase the number of small quantity meals.
  • Drink more water, but try to avoid soft drinks.
  • Avoid raw food.
  • Carrot juice is advisable.
  • Do not go for a sleep immediately after the food. Take at least 100 steps after food.

Home remedies for Hernia

  • Ginger

It helps digestion and reduces gas, intensity of acid etc. Include more ginger in your food and also take two cups of ginger tea in a day is also advisable.

  • Aloe Vera

It also helps the digestion and reduces the gastrointestinal diseases. Drink a glass of Aloe Vera juice after you meals are also good.

  • Exercises.

Some sort of exercises can be practiced to get rid of Hernia. But heavy exercises are never allowed. Take the suggestion of a yoga practitioner.

  • Banana

Banana can absorb excess acid from the stomach and prevents heartburns.

  • Fennel Seeds.

It has a soothing effect in your stomach. Take few fennel seeds in water and drink that water in early morning will reduce the symptoms.
